Barry Pride 2019

As part of the first Barry Pride in 2019 I created an identity which ensured consistency not just with the LGBTQ+ community in mind but with Barry as a town. I wanted to consider the location as well as the people in it, where people could unite under an identity with purpose as well as common values and inclusive action.
Barry is a proud and historical seaside town in the midst of a modern rejuvenation and Barry Pride represented this direction, to proudly unite through diversity and inclusivity among the population. Coming together to form a sea of change and standing side by side with our LGBTQ+ community. Of course there is already a strong colour scheme involved with Pride events but I wanted to make sure these were represented harmoniously and effectively, while creating an identity that coincided with the town as a place as well as the event itself.
